Comparison Test: 2009 Hyundai Genesis 4.6 vs. 2008 Lexus GS 350 - Hyundai isn't shy about its targets for the Genesis. "While Genesis will compete for customers with cars like Lexus ES, Chrysler 300 and Cadillac CTS," the company stated in a press release about the car's pricing, "Genesis' performance capabilities and luxury features are comparable to sedans costing tens of thousands of dollars more." Even if I didn't know anything about auto, it sounds a lot major than electronics, for example, which some of the readers picked up on the Azera. I really would like to see Hyundai de-throne Lexus, Acura and Infiniti Hyundai doesn't need to, really, to be successful. Hyundai has to take care of its own things first and foremost. And, just for kicks, the Genesis has already outsold the Acrua RL last month, the Lexus GS and the Infiniti M are certainly achievable. By the way, those cars were sold with huge discounts, while little were slapped on the hood of the Genesis |

I have had the breaks replaced at 22,000KM (Free of charge) (They were noisy) I have had regular oil changes done. I've had NO PROBLEMS with the car since and to this day! It is the best car I've ever owned by far. I would highly recommend this car based on my experience with it. I have NO suspension issues with my Azera. I have been treated like royalty at my Hyundai dealership. I am 44 years old! Have driven G35 coupe, Camry, Accord, BMW 3 & 5 series, Acura TL (This I liked too) and many others... My Azera is the quietest car I've ever driven! AND it also very comfortable I'm writing this because I'm getting a little tired of Carolinabob's constant bashing of Hyundai and especially the Azera. Unlike him I've had NO problems whatsoever with my Azera and thought alot of folks reading here (like me) would appreciate hearing my "positive" experience/opinion too! (If not then I apologize in advance for my positive comments on this car) No disrespect intended at Carolinabob...in fact I'm truly very sorry he's having problems with his Azera. Sincere regards,

The major purpose of these forums is so that posters can share their experiences and create a more knowledgeable consumer. That is my purpose. If you disagree with what I say, don't read it. BTW, each entry has been in response to something someone else said. I am glad you are happy with your car. I also wonder how many people may not be aware that it is a problem? If not for these blogs and a couple of reviews, I wouldn't have realized it was the car and not me.

I apologize for having rattled the cage a little...please accept my apology. I just wanted to share my positive experience with my Azera. I'd buy you a bottle of wine but you're way too far from me. Regards,

Doing a comparison test with luxury cars based on value makes no sense. A buyer who is in the market for one of these very expensive cars is not going to be persuaded to buy the Hyundai based on its price advantage, they are looking for name recognition and proven reliability and performance regardless of the price in most circumstances. Have any of you ever been to a Lexus dealership? Somebody in the market for a Lexus GS wouldn't be caught dead in a Hyundai dealership anyway.

More of a jarring right-left combination that'll leave Lexus a bit dazed, shuffling a step or two back, and realizing that Hyundai deserves its full attention and respect. After all, what's Lexus to do when Hyundai actually builds a luxury sedan that doesn't cost half as much? |

Anybody still remember when Lexus started, around 91 or so, its Tv ad featuring a stack of wine glasses on a LS hood? I can safely claim, whoever wants to drive a Lexus, either rich or pretend to be rich, won't ever consider a Hyndai in a normal circumstances. Whoever drived a Hyundai thinks he gets an equivalent of Lexus, keep thinking that way. It's a laughing stock that somebody says 80% of money for 95% of car. There's no such equation in the world of Lux. Just look at the fashion industry, a woman's bag can set u back 3 grand. Yes, you can go to a Macy and get a bag (very good one, such as Coach) for 10% of the money. (I don't want to mention walmart where u can buy a bag with 2% becuase that is irrelevant, I think.)
