Comparison Test: 2009 Hyundai Genesis 4.6 vs. 2008 Lexus GS 350 - Hyundai isn't shy about its targets for the Genesis. "While Genesis will compete for customers with cars like Lexus ES, Chrysler 300 and Cadillac CTS," the company stated in a press release about the car's pricing, "Genesis' performance capabilities and luxury features are comparable to sedans costing tens of thousands of dollars more." We purchased a Genesis and I love it! It drives so good and has all the luxuries of the other luxary cars. I looked at all other luxary cars and none have the room that the Genesis has. The car just feels good to drive and you get so much for the price and you cant beat it. If you buy the other cars over this one it is solely because of the name. Test drive the car and see. Rain-sensing intermittent wipers are offered on the Lexus GS...so this passage: "In comprehensively equipped luxury vehicles, why should the driver be burdened with the nightmare of turning on the wipers when it rains? Hyundai offers rain-sensing wipers on the Genesis; Lexus doesn't on the GS." is not correct. "The Genesis has a huge trunk with 15.9 cubic feet of space" I'm sorry, but 16 ft^3 is in no way, shape, or form a "huge" trunk for a vehicle of this size and mass. The fact that the Lexus has only 13 ft^3 is pitiful. But a 20-year-old Mazda 626 that's more than a foot shorter and more than a half-ton lighter has a trunk the same size as the Hyundai--the Genesis needs closer to 20 ft^3 to be considered impressive, or even adequate.
