I was wondering why the prices of the RX350 are dropping here in Vancouver. i know that they have a new generation coming out in the near future, so is this a move to clear out the remaining 08's or what?
anyone have any theories or know anything about this?

The new RX is about a year away,
Could be a move to clear out the 08s 09s as well as increase the sales.

Lexus Corporate had provided extra incentives to dealers to sell all remaining 2008 RX's, as 2009 had starting hitting the showrooms. That was back in March. I'm surprised there are still 2008 RX's available.

The '09 Highlander is getting a new I4, apparently FWD model only. Might the RX series go the same route, and maybe even an I4 for the RXh...
187HP 25 MPG hwy RX225...
35 MPG hwy RX250h...
If such should happen the earlier RX models, "GAS HOG", 0-60 performance oriented models, price/value will decline preciptously and the last thing the dealers would want is a few of these leftover to sell in a $4.00 gallon gas price market.
At this very moment I'm planning on purchasing, getting quotes, on a new '09 Mercury Mariner Hybrid, news of an RX250h would give me LONG pause.

i was planning on getting an rx350 because of the crazy price drop. Since u broght up the new l4 highlander, i might look at that a little more closely because of the rising fuel costs. do you have a link on the new highlander??

I wonder where did you get this news in Vancouver. If this is true, then the difference is narrowed down to less than $5000 if buying the RX350 from US. Pls reply. Thanks!

The real question, and correct comparative analysis is you price in relation to invoice, not MSRP.
