when cycling throught you should get XM band with channel 1, their advertisement channel on it....it shouldnt cycle throught as you stated......are you sure you have XM?...do you have the little black module antenna.....dont know where on the CTS its located.....

Yea, I'm sure. I have the, factory installed, little black "XM" radio antenna on the roof - next to the "on-star" antenna on the back window. It also shows in the GM VIS that it is equipped with On-star and "XM". I also have the XM Radio ID that is listed on the VIS (Vehicle Inquiry System).

so if you get the ID...then you will probably have to get the subscription activated and have them pulse the radio.......but you still should get the XM advertisement channel 1 when you toggle through the band selection

I called XM and they sent the "pulse" out. However, getting back to my original question. Why am I not able to get the XM1 - XM2 to come up on my radio without taking it to a dealership and paying BIG CASH!!!!!
