Waiting for the Gen3, 2010 Prius.... by kdhspyder

The 2009's are just around the corner ( with no changes from the 2008s ) and people are already placing advance orders already for the first Gen3s which should arrive next summer.

Toyota seems to be leaking bits and pieces of info all over the auto world with hints of this or that. The most comprehensive and seemingly accurate repoort has been the Auto Observer report herein from several months ago.

The first official word from Toyota will probably come at the NAIAS in Detroit in January when they debut it.

Must haves...?
Would likes...?
Will you buy the first year or wait?
Have you placed an order already?
Any insiders able to risk their jobs and careers to leak real info?

Have owned 2 gen 2 Prius. We bought the first in 2004 gave it to our son in law and bought the second in 2007. The gen 3 will have more- room, power, and higher MPG than the gen 2.. All must haves for me but in view of quality problems with some of the new products coming from Toyota and the promise of a plug in coming in 2011, I will wait B4 buying my first gen3. I would also consider a Chevy Volt if its first to market and comes with a long warentee.
