My 4-year old wrecked our cd and dvd players by putting multiple discs into them. The dealer wants $800 for the repair which will take 4-6 weeks, or $1,800 for a new console. Replying to: lisep (Aug 15, 2008 6:41 am) Aftermarket would have to be cheaper if you could find something that would work and integrate with the rest of your system. There are a couple of online buying links in the How to Remove a Stuck CD guide if you're up to swapping it out yourself. Otherwise, ask around for a local stereo shop or maybe a Best Buy/Circuit City type of place. Or maybe eBay for an original part at a cheaper price.
