Acura MDX: Rear Entertainment System Question by benandeleanor

Thanks to all that I learned on this forum, I'm now the happy owner of a 2008 MDX Tech/Ent. However, I already have a question that I can't seem to figure out and am hoping someone can assist me.

Specifically, I need assistance in being able to set up the audio system so that my children can listen to one thing with the rear entertainment headphones while I can listen to something else in the first row. I've read the directions in the manual, and played around quite a bit, but I can't figure out how to make this happen. I've know how to put something on the rear entertainment system but I'm at a roadblock when I attempt to switch to something different for the first row.

I'm sure this is me just missing something basic--please point me in the right direction! Thanks in advance...

MDX 2007 Ent/Tech Entertainment Console Repair by lisep

My 4-year old wrecked our cd and dvd players by putting multiple discs into them. The dealer wants $800 for the repair which will take 4-6 weeks, or $1,800 for a new console. I am wondering if anyone has a cheaper and faster solution? We want it fixed, not buy a portable dvd/cd player. Thanks!

Aftermarket would have to be cheaper if you could find something that would work and integrate with the rest of your system.

There are a couple of online buying links in the How to Remove a Stuck CD guide if you're up to swapping it out yourself. Otherwise, ask around for a local stereo shop or maybe a Best Buy/Circuit City type of place. Or maybe eBay for an original part at a cheaper price.
