Now if GM can price a VOLT However given our green state's electrical rate (one of 88 rate tables and schedules and exceptions etc. etc, of app 44 cents per KWH, the cost per mile driven I have figured on another thread to be .1726 cents vs .057 cents per mile driven D2. So Volt is easily 3x more per mile driven than D2.

So, that's not a good reason, especially as Ford & GM already produce good small diesels to EU standards. As they say; "There are lies, damned lies and Automakers excuses".

VW's 2.0 TDI with 140 hp and 236# ft is a shade over 20k ?? |
