I slung a rod thru the side of the block. The question i have is; I have a 96-97 5.7 out of a Sub. Tah.. The engine block numbers match and all the hook ups look like they will to. Replying to: pioneer1 (Aug 09, 2008 7:34 am) Check all the electrical and mechanical connections on the two engines to make sure that they match. You may also need the computer controle module from the Suburban.
