Radio and 'HOLD' Button Question by stewntexas

I have an Aveo5, 2007, recently purchased used. I will not have a manual for at least another week, but do have two questions.
1) The radio always reduces the volume to a low setting after the engine is turned off and restarted. How is this feature adjusted?
2) On the automatic shirt console, what is the HOLD button for, and how is it used?
Thanks.

As you probably know the volume level was designed to go down at start up. This is more of a car luxury that the Aveo was given like the heated side mirrors which were a first in its class. I wish my truck had that volume feature at start up because sometimes I have it at an uncomfortably loud level when starting.

The auto transmission hold is for low traction situation such as winter driving when your tires may spin upon acceleration. It puts the car in a taller car-3rd I believe, so it has less torque and less chance of front wheel spinnage to get moving.
