You must remove the brake switch at the end of the tube ,also you have the dash panel off ,then at the top of the tube where the parking brake rod handle is there are 2 little "arms' sticking up.The first one closest to the dash must be pushed towards the firewall then you can push the parking rod all the way in.handle must be pushed all the way in first, and then you will be able to remove the crimped on barrel end of the cable.the rod will stick out just enough for you to remove it. pully must be removed also, those arms are the 'rachets'you hear when you pull the parking brake, the first one keeps the arm locked in place when you pull the arm out 'closest to the firewall ,second one stops the brake tube from going too far in and damaging your brake light switch.you do not need to remove any mounting bolts.

I have a 2004 Runner with 149,000 km (diesel) - the SRS light comes on then goes off for a while then back on.
1. Can I replace this myself?
2. If so where is the sensor located?
3. I also understand that the belt replacement light should come on at 150 km as well - same questions as above
