Parts Falling Off The Interior by sandman_6472

Never had this problem nor have any of the 4 other '06-'07 Civic owners in my installation...what are you talking about? Please explain. And Samforu, did you just sit there and not look at the paperwork or ask any questions? Since y'all come into Edmunds.com, you obviously know what others are paying through these forums so what happened...? You weren't cheated...you just bent over and said..."sir, may I have another"? Unbelievable with the knowledge you had at hand, you blame "them" for cheating you. Time for a reality check here...y'all need to take personal responsibility for your actions instead of blaming the dealership...jeez!
Enjoy your new car but stop the blame game folks...y'all need to grow up and use what brains G-d gave you. Maybe a finance class wouldn't hurt either!

Piling on is not necessary. This discussion is comparing a Civic to a Corolla - let's get back on topic, okay? Thanks.

I was also in a big dilemma, and would love to go with the Corolla due to quiet ride, rather conventional interior (I hate the Civic's interior design), and more standard features, like stability control, remote trunk release on all models, and outside temperature display, all of these you can get in Civic only on top model EX, but are standard on Corolla even on LE basic model.

However, since there was a big demand for Corolla, the prices went up, and I got a better price on a Civic LX. I must admit that I don't regret it. The drive is superior to any Toyota. Nimble handling, sharp steering, and everything else works so precise, including the controls and knobs and stalks, it's just wonderful, and IMO, outweighs the con's of the design and lack of features. It still bothers me, but I am getting used to it.

It does have a fair amount of body lean at fast cornering, but it is still so much better than other vehicles. The road noise does bother me as well, but I try to focus on the good stuff and driving dynamics. It is so tightly built, no squeaks or rattles whatsoever, including when going over bumpy roads or potholes - it takes it smoothly like it doesn't care...

"The drive is superior to any Toyota."

Okay, so you don't like the body lean and you don't like the road noise but the ride is superior to Toyota? I don't think soooooo!

It is soooo much better actually! After owning 4 Toyota products, my Civic is a much better car overall!

I think I'm on to something here. Tom, if you think "ride" and "drive" are the same, you're sadly mistaken.

The Corolla rides better, the Civic drives better. Big difference. If there wasn't a difference, BMW and Mazda would be put out of business by Buick.

And the poster didn't say the lean was worse than the Corolla. Quit putting words in everyone's mouth please. If you think the lean is bad in the Civc, imagine the more softly sprung Corolla. Well, it doesn't invite spirited driving, so you'd probably never want to try it anyway.

So it's just the all important "ride/drive" that you don't like in your Honda?

If not, a S240 would be on my side of the garage at this moment.

Well, that's certainly ok. What do you not agree with though? Ride and drive being vastly different?
