I have a 2000 Grand Prix 3.1. Recently my DRL's do not come on at night. However the sensor on the dash will allow the lights to come on during daylight hours. Can the sensor be going bad and just need replaced? Now... here is a little twist to the problem. When the problem first occured the lights would only come on at night when I moved the steering wheel to a higher position now within the past couple days the lights are not coming on no matter what position the steering wheel is. They only come on during the daylight hours. Why would the steering wheel be tied to the problem?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Replying to: billg51 (Aug 05, 2008 8:31 am) Remove the lower trim behind the steering wheel (two screws on the underside). Wiggle the wires going to the switch and see if things start to work. On my car the blower fan and the daytime running lights along with the rear defroster would work intermintently. Hope this helps. |

| I have a 2001 Grand prix 3.8 V6 my DRL's stopped working when my emergency brake light came on. I have checked the switch on the parking brake and it works fine. I was wondering if it could be related to something in the DRL circuit. Any help would be appreciated. | |
