I have a 2001 windstar brake, abs check engine lights on. I have no odometer or speedometer. I took it to Monroe for a diagnostic and they couldn't read the codes ( van wouldn't let them). They said it was probably the PCM (ECU) module but I have to take it to the dealer to read the codes. Has anyone had this problem before and is the ECU easy for a DIY'er to do?

Hello everyone, wondering if a 98 windstar 3.8l transmission would fit the windstar 2001 sport model with the same size engine? or what kind of differences would there be?
