Just reading your post, I think you already know the answer.

However I respect your current position, you have dissected both cars, stripped the brands and looked at what each car really has to offer. Am sure you will be happy with whichever decision you make.

My advice wait for the 09s, 328hp, interior updates etc for the Infiniti and some updates for the 335i.

I have my opinion on which is the better car;)

The 335i may be changing slightly in terms of interior, but the engine is staying the same, and I've heard 2009 BMW prices are jumping by a few k, at least for the initial roll out.

I may wait for the 2009 G37 in any event. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to not be able to find new 2008 manual transmission versions of either a 335i or G35 in a month, but that may be a good thing to see what the 3.7 w/ 328 hp can do. I like that the engine has already successfully taken a spin in the coupe version (so any little kinks have been worked out). And it's not as if I walk to work and back now...

Drove a lot of them actually..including last gen M3. At the time I had an S2000 (Lease) as a second car. I think the 3 series has a SPECTACULAR front end feel. But for the features (More importantly the size), it is waaaaay overpriced.
It applies less to BMW...but it's like that Ferrari joke.....what's the most expensive part of a Ferrari?

You will be happy either way, you have made the analysis. Car shopping is one of the most exciting times for me, enjoy yourself.

Wouldnt be suprised if BMW prices went up, the Euro, commodity prices etc will surely push their prices higher. They don't have the same economies of scale as the Japanese do, the latter have more flexibility and can absorb the same pressures better.

Hey, you are really good! They just announced 2.1% price increases across the entire model lineup for 2009 starting in October!

Thanks. Am not suprised at all. Its going to get really tough for the Germans to justify their prices especially with the Japanese being very aggressive on pricing and offering very comparable if not arguably better models. I once stated that "I for one will not pay for someones cost inefficiencies".

I cant wait to check out the 09 G37s, want to see what the new owners will be saying. One thing came to my mind over the weekend though, is 306hp enough. I feel like it is, but hey, 328hp sound better as well.

Got behind one the other night (With REG in my tank actually since I'm experimenting for MPGS). After inhaling the dump of unburned fuel from when he floored it, we did about 75 - 125 with even acceleration other than his initial jump. Switched places in traffic.....I jumped on him...I wasn't leaving him either....backed off at about 110 this time. I was expecting more to be hones with you with all the raving reviews. 07 Sport Auto (In Sport mode for this) on this end.
