Montana 2001 Oil light on and off

Hi, I have a 2001 Montana, the low oil light comes on for 30 sec after the van is started. Then it goes off. When I shut off the van, it comes back on for a couple of second. From oil change to oil change, the oil level is full and there is no leaks. I when to my deal and he can't find anything wrong with the van. Replying to: silmando (Jul 29, 2008 11:46 am) Most likely cause in a vehicle with some age on it is the oil sending unit, not to exspensive to change. The other possibility is the oil pressure is low and that could be confirmed by mechanic.
