I bought a used 2005 Highlander and didn't check on the exact date that it was originally purchased. So, of course, when I took it in for the 30,000 checkup, it was 30 days past the warranty date. And of course, found a leaking front strut, which means both front struts have to be replaced. Dealer said it would be $800. I am so mad at myself, I could have bought an extended warranty for that (course, now it would be more since it expired).

Has anyone else had struts leak at such low mileage? It seems that struts should last much longer than that.
