#1 of 2 Head Gasket or Swap by 99caravan

Good day, I should start by saying that I searched the forum and couldn't find the answer...

I have a 99 caravan with a 3.0L engine and it looks like the head gasket is gone, since the engine has 300k Kms I was wondering if it would be better to swap the engine to the better 3.3L or if i should just replace the gasket...my question is this, what would I be looking at for the swap, ie. will the transmission, ecu, fuel management system match up, or would those need to be replaced?

thank you

I'm thinking that your best bet would be to find another Mitsusquishy 3.0 liter engine and put that in. Putting in either a 3.3 or a 3.8 will overburden the transmission and be a huge pain in the hind quarters in install (what with plumbing, electrical, and mount point changes).
