Some make sense but leaning out your fuel mixture is very risky IMO, especially by using a dial that you fiddle with.
As for his gas mileage increase claims, I am a bit skeptical because he doesn't use precise numbers. He says "3-4 miles per gallon". Well which is it? How did he measure it? Is 3-4 the highest he ever got? If so, what was the average?
Also what did it cost him to do the mods vs. the amount of gas saved? He doesn't give us these numbers either.
Let's say 3 mpg was the best result he got from all his mods together. But in fact the average was 1.5 over a long period of time.
If he drives say 10,000 miles a year in his Geo Tracker getting 20 mpg, and now gets 21.5 mpg, he has saved 35 gallons at $4 a gallon, or $120 a year. Not so great for having had to change engine oil, trans oil and buying this so-called "Teflon" additive (which I think is pretty useless myself).
But his ideas are at least grounded in reality and should produce some improvements.
Question is: what WERE the exact results he got and are they worth the trouble?
Anyone else have their two cents to throw in here?
