I have a new 2008 CTS that has an outside temperature display problem. It seems to display 73 degrees most of the time, but will increase or decrease from time to time, but it never seems to be right. It generally is low by about 20 degrees. A call to the dealership didn't help as the service people say it depends which way the car is facing and once a turn is made the sensor should catch up. Wow! Thats a new one. I have had many cars with o/s temp displays without one problem. Do you think it could be the sensor? The dealership says no. Replying to: tjs1000 (Jul 17, 2008 11:41 am) I have a '08 CTS and the outside temp reading is within a degree of a certified thermometer, it can be in the sun all day and still read correct. You should try a post on. http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/ As I have found with most service writers they are not on top of alot things. Replying to: tjs1000 (Jul 17, 2008 11:41 am) you are not crazy. I just picked up my car yesterday from the dealer who could not find anything wrong with it. It finally went up to the correct temperature after about 20 minutes on the ride home. it is right back at it today except it is stuck and hasn't moved from 59 degrees when it is in the 70's. I got the same kind of answer with a computer printout with explanations such as if the car hasnt been run in 3 hours....... i have also had cars with this feature that all instantly gave the temp including the loaner car the dealer gave me while they assessed my vehicle!
