Our old house sewer bill is $81 for 2 months.

Our water bill is usually around $70/mo including sewage (depending on how much I watered the lawn). My parents live in northern Indiana and the get sacked with a $75/mo fixed sewage fee. Ouch!

I'm glad we have a septic system. It needs to be pumped about every 3 - 4 years. Costs about $300. The City should pay the homeowner for all the gas they get in the sewage

Septic here also on the beach in NC. Water for the two of us is about $15 / mo. No gas or oil here, everything is electric including the heat pump. The monthly electric bill ranges from $90 to $150 a month at each extreme. A typical bill is $105.

We got rid of our land line telephone in order to cut back even further. Sold the Solara Convertible in favor of a Harley Sportster 883 ( her ride ).

Gas is down 20 cents a gallon at wholesale level.

They still say that stations in South Carolina are out of gas and prices are rising.

Maybe they don't watch the news.

We are still experiencing shortages here in NC as well. Some stations have not been well supplied. We are dependent on Colonial Pipeline to bring gasoline up from the gulf coast. That supply line has not recovered to full operation yet. Price of RUG has hovered around $3.90 or so for about 2 weeks, above the national avg.

Yeah, I've got a friend in North Carolina who has had to change visiting plans because he can't count on gas being available. Shades of the seventies...

Will Trade Stock For A Gallon Of Gas by oldfarmer50

Holy cow! What a blood bath on wall street today. I can see it all now, stock brokers trying to pay for a gallon of gas with a thousand shares of GE or Walmart.

At least oil went down 10% too. That probably means the price of gas will sky rocket next week.

I feel like Alice in Wonderland.

If we get enough correction and oil gets where it belongs under $60 and the dollar keeps gaining we could be in good shape by Christmas. GE and WM will do fine. GM and Ford will probably file for bankruptcy protection.

I'll give you a few gallons for a thousand shares of GE or Wally world. Right now is a good time to buy many stocks.
