The only time I rode in one I was with a friend heading to Indianapolis and it died in the middle lane of I-465 and nearly got us killed. But hey, this is definitely a rare bird. 89 6000 STE AWD

I heard a news story today that investigations have determined that big speculators were the primary cause of the big run-up in oil prices. This article said that these same speculators are causing the current drop in oil. I can believe that the last part of that is true. Today, with a hurricane bearing down on the gulf, OPEC cutting production and US inventories down we still saw oil drop 50 cents. So let's hoist a glass to all those fat cats. I only hope they are trying to short oil down to about $35/barrel.

The way I see it they missed out on an excuse to raise prices when the last hurricane skipped through the Gulf and it did less damage than everyone was expecting. With Ike, they figured they'd raise the prices before it had a chance to cause any damage to the oil wells. Sensing such an underhanded move, I filled up the day before the increase. |
