Costco is holding at $2.75 for RUG. Most name brands are right at $3 per gallon. On my 5687 mile trip I had figured on 15 MPG at $3 per gallon. So I am happy that I averaged 18 MPG and the average price was $2.33 per gallon $400 less than expected. Same for motels. about $25 per night less than I anticipated. West Coast has the worst prices. All wasted on taxes. With little to show in the way of road improvements. Think about the Bay Bridge and the money wasted there.

There is going to be a lot more space on the roads pretty soon.....
Yeah, but the sidewalks are going to be a lot more crowded with pedestrians! Oh well, there's always public transportation! Oops, maybe not! SEPTA just went on strike this morning!

There's always Segway.
Watched a Suburban owner put $80 worth of gas in their truck yesterday, and thought to myself "$80?? In November??"
I just assumed we would see another year of sub-$3 winter gas, what with the recession and all the unemployment. But I guess not.

I've already seen Sunoco Ultra at $3.15 in the suburbs. Looks like we'll have even more recession and unenmployment to go with that $3+ gas. Merry Xmas!!!

I filled the Expedition up today with regular for 2.65/gal and it cost $51 or so and I was around 1/4 tank on the guage. Not a big deal yet. I still haven't forgotten the $100 fill ups I had in the old Suburban, I won't bring up the boat. I still remember filling it up before storage last October and I paid $4.40/gal for premium.

last saturday, i filled up the kid's explorer. 18.6 gallons for about $52. good news, it was over 2 weeks since the last fill up. bad news, they only drove 234 miles between fill ups. winter gas really kills your mileage.

It's been awhile now since I've gotten gas, but I've got the Intrepid, Silverado, and LeMans all run down kinda low, so I have a feeling they're all going to hit me in rapid succession. I think 87 octane is around $2.67/gal around here now, while 93 is around $2.97.

Just filled up the truck today. Gas prices actually came down a bit. $2.639 for 87, $2.939 for 93, which the Silverado needs unless I want to hear valve clatter. Planning on filling up the Intrepid tomorrow morning.
