"...gasoline prices to "free fall"..."

I guess that means George Soros has to dock those tankers sometime.

There hasn't been the outcry this summer like last but I'm seeing signs of continued manipulation in energy. When the storage facilities are bursting with product but the prices spike 20 cents in a week, something stinks.

Have you noticed that last year Congress was all set to "investigate" energy speculation and now, not a peep. They must have got some nice "contributions" over the winter.

Meanwhile, guys like Soros who made a billion speculating on oil last year gives 35 million to NYS welfare kids and is proclaimed a hero.

Oil prices are down by the barrelful but the pump price up here went up about a dime in the last few weeks.

aheemmm I just heard a report on NPR, it is actually still saved on my iPhone, that they are investigating speculators for driving up the price of oil.

Ours topped at about $3 per gallon. Noticed this morning a couple ARCO stations down about 8 cents. Costco never went higher than $2.87.

I am hoping the price drops after Labor day. We have a little over 5000 miles planned in our gas guzzler this Fall.

You mean it wasn't free market forces, supply and demand, capitalism, etc? I don't believe it!

I would love to see Soros nailed for his shady activities. He has nearly bankrupted several countries. He seems to be above the law as he is tied to top tier members of both parties. His Hedge funds need to be investigated. He may be a bigger crook than Madoff.

I'd bank on him being a bigger crook than Madoff. Bernie, while being a slimy bastard, was used as a distraction so the big boys can remain free.

Hedge funders as a whole are less than defendable.

Sure just cause stocks can go up hundreds of percent in less then a year means that oil prices can too right...

Here is the link for the podcast of the story I was talking about.

The sad thing is, the system hasn't been reformed, it could happen again. But hey, the price we pay for this capitalist free market wonderland.
