The are rated worse than Isuzu and we don't even get those anymore. That is a long way from good unless you have pretty low expectations.

Replying to: nippononly (Dec 24, 2008 11:08 am) I had to drive to northern Indiana yesterday from central Illinois to pick up my daughter from my parents house and bring her home for xmas. Freezing rain, 40mph winds, then snow during my 140mile, 4 hour trek there. Saw many cars off in the medians, jack knifed semi's etc. and a few rolled over Trailblazers. The Expedition got there and back with ease. Though I will say, the portion of the interstate that had .25-.5 inch of black ice, that wasn't particularly fun. I was glad when the I got further north in Indiana where the roads were covered in snow.

Replying to: dave8697 (Dec 24, 2008 5:03 pm) dave, i used to wrap sandbags in large plastic trash bags then tape them closed. it would last through the winter and it was cheap. 3 bags were good for an f150. since both my kids are around, they are going through $20-25 gas a week. glad it isn't $4.00+ a gallon. having a bunch of family over for dinner today. i am sure they will drive the 'big iron' since gas prices are low. |
