Replying to: fezo (Nov 17, 2008 8:27 am) By the way - my last tank cost less than any fillup since way back in February 2007. I like seeing $35 tanks instead of the $61.94 tank I paid for on August 6th.

BTW - looks like our closest nuke plant may not be relicensed. I'm not sure how they're going to make up the lose. |

I never EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER said anything along the lines of, "I'm glad prices are high because OTHER PEOPLE have to pay them and I Don't." I paid high prices right along with everyone else. I conserved right along with everyone else. ( Just like I have done forever, and particularly since June 2004 when I bought my first hybrid car. ) And you know what? I'm STILL conserving and ALWAYS WILL. Not everyone can say that. The reasons that high prices are good for us have not changed. Money for important alternative fuel technology and products is already getting canceled and reduced - one of many negative effects. There are positive effects of lower prices, also. I never said there weren't.

We have already seen $1.71 RUG in central Indiana. We were $1.59 for most of 2003. Trouble is that even if $2 gas was here to stay for several years, many will not buy V8's anymore. That kills profits for the big 3. Ford has a new F-150 with great features but we are all scared of high gas now. The Flex gets 24 mpg hwy and that was called impressive in TV ad recently. A month later it makes more sense.

Good luck with that, though !!! " No steak dinner ? Really ? I am bummed out. I will not add dude as the other 49 refuse to use that term. Oh well at lt wasn't a chickpea and fava extraganza. The oil market doth love it's extremes. And $147/bbl oil causes global recessions with or without subprime. Anyway learning curve . But best of luck always |
