Maybe my locals stations don't sell a whole lot of it and still have 2-3 week old e85 in the tank, thus they haven't bought any at the lower prices. I don't know, but just a theory. |

That's about $75 a pop for a medium steak, $10 for a salad, baked potatos are extra... about $5, drinks another $10... then dessert, $10. Unless Al Gore shows up to help with the bill, larsb can plan on spending about $140 per person. " Yum as well, go protein. A Ruth Chris here in Houston as well. $1.77 rug four days ago before the big drop, Shell station, NW Houston. I can smell $1.50. So it will be the 12 oz filet, baked potato and asparagus. Opec will try and cut 1m bbls/day on the 29th of Nov, Failing that a second try in Dec. But when you break the paradigm and are faced with reality, pump it out quick and sell for as much as you can get. Oh yeah and cheat on your quotas. The oil market doth love it's extremes. The larsb world tour should prove... nutritional. |

$1.83 is price as of yesterday 30 mile commute is less than a gallon each way or about $60 a month. It used to be $120 a month in 17 mpg 4X4. Commute used to be 47 miles each way when gas was $3.00. That was $310 a month so I drove other vehicles that get 23-28 mpg. Still, if old pain index was 4.4%, new one is under 1%. Thats commute only, not total family driving. total family driving could be 2 times my commute now, and was 1.5 times commute when commute was 47 miles each way. |

At $310 a month to get to work, a large truck does not make sense. The truck can haul a large load of large, heavy objects over a long distance. I used mine to move, to haul my son's go-cart places, to do work on properties in another state where I carried 1000 lbs of supplies and got 18.5 mpg on 87 octane with a V8. Two Yaris' couldnt have done the job. My large car got 30 on a trip. 3600 lb empty car, 4 people, 20 gallons of gas, 400 lbs luggage in trunk. |

But I only had it for one year and 35k miles, then I sold it for nearly what I paid for it, so I can't complain. The reason for selling it was my wife got a company car and we still needed a minivan at the time. I couldn't justify keeping the jetta around, so I sold it. |
