"Oh and by the way, big SUV sales will decline, the big three are re-tooling the plants to make something else, so even at a buck a gallon you won't be able to buy what is no longer produced." Yes the SUV had its day in the sun. Much like Mini-Vans did. Pickups will survive because small cars simply cannot tow. The only disturbing thing about SUVs, and I believe a few of them will survive as well, is they somehow managed to create hate in the heart of small car drivers and car magazines. I have read of the demise of SUV even in the early days of the mid 80s. They declared them dead in the early 90s when SUVs and light trucks accounted for close to 50 percent of all new car sales in the US. By 2000 Car and Driver was sure they were dead and by 2005 sub compacts were going to dominate the market. And all the while Camry and Accords got bigger. Sounds like a slight of hand to me. |

The discussion is about what impact gas prices have on you. A bunch of posts focusing on other people's views, habits, behaviors, etc. have been wiped up with some kerosene. |

Now kerosene is around $3.55 a gallon in bulk. I just used WD-40 in here since it was handy. I think it's mostly denatured kerosene anyway, but the price per gallon for it is close to $15. |
