| We have problems with our 96 Caravan. (3.3 engine) It died and would not restart. It would crank, but it would not start. The dealer replaced the computer twice without any results along with several modules. They didn't have a clue. You would think a Chysler dealer would be better. After replacing the computer, it would run for a short time and be down again. Has anyone had a similar problem or any ideas what is wrong? | |

I had the same thing happen will driving down the highway. I simply removed the air cleaner intake hose and sprayed in some gasoline and it started running immediately. would die when I quite spraying in gasoline. The problem was a bad fuel pump inside the gas tank. Drop gas tank replace fuel pump (Auto Zone $210). Not a fun job. I used one of those spray cans where you can add your own fluid and then appy pressure from your air compressor. Had purchased it at HarborFreight.com. $10. Any careful way of squirting a little amount of gasoline into the intake at the air cleaner will prove if the problem is just a lack of fuel. The dealer should be able to quickly make this test of gas pressure from the fuel pump. Please use any home methods for handling raw gasoline with great care. Joe |
