Well they are using the monthly sales figured reported by the manufacturers and those are recording sales to customers not sales to dealers. When a car is RDRed, Retail delivery reported, then it is counted towards the monthly sales for that model.

Rover is correct. This could get a little dicey, depending on the delays, but we are looking at sales to customers data (or at least, the best available data related to customer sales).
