I read a story on a certian vehicle, that trades on CSX, a month or so back that said the vehicle is "Sold out" for the current model year and there is a waiting list for up to 6 months.   So my question is, does sales equal units delivered to customers, or units sold by dealerships.   If the former is true, that could mean that the sales number posted on the blog yesterday could stay stagnant until the stock retires. OR spike drasticly if the factory decides that they can ramp up production. Replying to: louiswei (Jul 09, 2008 11:16 am) Well they are using the monthly sales figured reported by the manufacturers and those are recording sales to customers not sales to dealers. Replying to: british_rover (Jul 10, 2008 2:22 pm) Rover is correct. This could get a little dicey, depending on the delays, but we are looking at sales to customers data (or at least, the best available data related to customer sales).
