#1 of 2 A/C and brake lamp questions - '02 Montana by soupman1

I have an '02 Montana. Two weeks ago my A/C stopped working so I took it in and had it repaired to the tune of over $800. Last week I started noticing that the carpet on both the driver side and passenger side was getting very wet. I am sure its the A/C as this never happened before I took it in. They replaced about everything, including the compressor and the dryer. Is the dryer the same as the evaporator? Should they fix this leak problem without charging me anything since I already had it in the shop for a complete A/C repair?

My other question concerns the brake lamps. I have to replace both the left and right lamps every month or so because they keep shorting out. The plastic base of the lamps are melted which is results in the short. What could be causing BOTH of them to short out all the time?

Clarification on above: the brake lights do not both short out at the same time. First one shorts out, then eventually the other one doesl.
