Hi guys, I'm Howard and I work with Mike here at Edmunds and I am the surrogate game monitor while Mike has taken a well deserved vacation, he will be back the week of the 20th. Today our game host had a large server failure which caused the game to go down early in the afternoon. We had a choice of either going to a backup server or trying to fix the server that went down. The pro of going to the backup server is that the game was able to come back relatively quickly, the con is that some of the past trade transactions, as many have called out, are not recoverable. I made the decision to go with the backup server plan to get the game up as soon as possible and to make sure that the IPO tomorrow would remain on schedule. Since many of the gains are made on IPO Tuesdays, I'm hoping you guys also agree with my decsion making. For those of you who lost transactions, I am very sorry. However, since this is at the beginning of the month and the weekend was a holiday weekend and the traffic was lower than usual, I believe the gain/losses were mitigated. This condition was unforeseen and things like this on the web happen at times. However, please accept my apologies. thanks, Howard |

I work for the company that provides the technology for the CSX and I wanted to add a few things to what Howard said. First off, our apologies for the issue this afternoon. As Howard mentioned, it was the result of a very serious server crash and subsequent hardware failure. In order to bring the system back online quickly, we had to restore a previous version of the database on alternate servers. Because of this, you may have noticed that any trades that you may have made over the weekend are not in your portfolio. Essentially, the CSX market has been reverted back to the state is was in this weekend. While it's an inconvenience, (again, we apologize) it doesn't necessarily put anyone at an advantage or disadvantage since everyone was affected in the same way. If you bought or sold stock this weekend or early Monday, you have the opportunity to trade it again or re-evaluate whether or or not you want to make that trade. The market is back up and running normally so feel free to trade away. The CSX staff was working quickly this afternoon to bring everything back to normal operations but please post on the board if you see anything amiss. We plan to IPO tomorrow as planned but you may encounter slower than normal page loads until we repair the affected hardware. Thanks again for your understanding. Please post back with any questions and I'll be glad to answer them. Dave

| Is the server crash the reason that the chart shows that I dropped down to having a portfolio worth -$1.00? I don't have that much $, so it seems impossible that I could have lost that much! | |
