A4 compatibility with LG Venus (VX 8800) by angieq

I JUST bought a 2008 Audi A4. Upon setting up my bluetooth, I encountered problems with my LG Venus not staying connected to the bluetooth in the car. My phone paired and everything but it would not stay connected and kept on stating "Out of Range." I went to the Verizon store and they assured me that since the older models of my phone were compatible with the car, the venus should be too (even though it did not appear on the list of the compatible phones which was last updated in February). The Verizon ppl swapped out my phone for a new one as they just figured it was the software in my phone that was defective. I need to find out for sure if my phone is compatible and Audi will not confirm if it is as the latest list they have is from February. Can someone please let me know if they were successful in using their LG Venus with the bluetooth in their Audi?

I, too, just bought an A4 and I am having trouble pairing my "bluetooth ready" verizon phone. Audi points to Verizon, and Verizon points to Audi. The phone pairs, and then disconnects itself about 5 seconds later. Now what? Any ideas?

No luck with Audi, as they say it's my phone. No luck with Verizon as they say it's the car. As soon as I get my survey from Audi in the mail, I am going to give them the worst possible rating for the service as this is a new car and my phone should work with it (even the guy who sold me the car had trouble initially when he attempted to connect his phone to the bluetooth). Apparently, if you give them a bad rating on the service, it is very bad for the rep who sold you the car. I plan on doing that until they fix my bluetooth....
