Cx-9 after market hybrid setup? by zoomornot

Just wondering if it is even possible to think of a Hybrid setup for the current 2008 Cx-9. I know no plans exist from Mazda itself but is it even possible and if anyone out there has done it for any of the current Mazdas?

I know folks are doing it for the Prius by attaching a Solar panel to the roof and I guess that is possible coz of the hybrid engine while Cx-9 wiring is only for Gasoline engine.
Heard it costs $2K for the Prius after market Solar panel setup and pays in 2 yrs.

Any thoughts out there?

The money you spend on a conversion will far outweigh your fuel savings.

As far as the prius solar panel gimmick...it's been tried and at this time, photovoltaic power is not cost effective. Toyota plans to offer the option but it's really meaningless.
