#1 of 2 Rodeo Alternator and different radio

Two weeks ago I purchased a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo....I removed my Sony CD player from my trade-in vehicle and replaced the Isuzu factory installed radio....a week later I started having electrical problems....Windows, cruise, air etc. quit working.....found a bad fuse and replaced...then realized "brake" light was staying on and car died at friend's house,,,batterty dead...after a 24 hour "trickle" charge realized alternator not working....anyone know if the radio has anything to do with this sudden demise in my electrical system?

My daughter has a 2001 Rodeo. I removed an aftermarket JVC system and put in a new, higher powered system. My daughter has now gotten stuck twice where the vehicle would not start even with a jump. Turns out, after going through 2 alternators and batteries, that I still don't have the actual cause. My thinking is the higher power draw, but I am unsure at this point. I've disconnected the sound system and am waiting to see if she has the problem again. If you get an answer to your issue, I'd be curious to learn what you find out. I am also doing more testing to see if I can determine what the problem is. Let's stay in touch.
