I am considering a new HHR LT2. Does anyone know what is new or upgraded on the 2009 over the 2008 model?

I'm in the market for an LT with cashmere interior in the Sunbrust metallic Orange with cashmere interior ,but as you have found out that this color HAS BEEN deleted for the 09 model year.??????
Is any one at GM listening to the consumer, because that Orange Metallic on the HHR looks absolutely gorgeous and I can't understand why such a popular selling color is no longer available in 09......? I was going to order one in Orange but it's now either the Laser blue or Cardinal Metallic red. Hopefully I can still get the cashmere interior with these colors.

I can only guess....but....probably the sunburst metallic orange was not enough of a "POPULAR" color as far as sales go.Where I live, I see a lot of white, silver, black and red, but very few of the orange.

Up here in Western Canada, i guess we Canadian's must love the metallic orange color, it's very popular here in Alberta. Just about every manufacture here has there orange metallic on Dodge Caliber, Nissan Murano, Cobalt, Mitsubishi Ecilspe, HHR, Corvette, Nissan 350,Lincoln SUC as well there other vehicles. But none of them LOOK as good as the HHR does in the orange, the in color of choice for the next few years.
There are a few HHR's in black, red ,met red and dark blue, only a few in Sunburst Orange. Haven't seen a HHR in the laser blue expect at the local Chevy dealer.

Does anyone know exactly what the UAF (reconfigurable performance display) option displays other than turbo boost (the a-pillar gauge is deleted as well as a storage bin on the center dash)?? I have seen the bulletin showing 6 screens but have not read what the other 5 screens will be.

I have also heard that the HHR has gained an optional rearview camera. Not sure where the screen is, but the most logical place would be the rearview mirror, about where the compass is on the current model. Also, is the Pioneer 7 speaker system available for '09? My grandpa has an '08 with this and the XM and it sounds awesome! I'm considering buying one, so any information would be great.

Up there in your Western Canada ah, as I look sideways, I am from the Peg.
How are you enjoying your HHR burst. I couldn't help notice your post, when I was looking for a replacement for my GMC van ( Gas guseling parachute) I was all over that Orange, still have a poster of it.
I soon change my mind on the color (Reads wife made the change) I ended up buying new an 07 Premier Edition and I haven't looked back, well ok once at the new SS but i'm sticking with the Cap-o-chino 5 speed. Just a great car.
While I was surfing the net I founld out they made only 4000, two of which were sent to the Peg, one auto and one standard, I have yet to see the Automatic one since last Aug, when I left the dealer with mine.
Q: is there any car clubs or HHR Canadian rally's that require little or no money to join.

Took a test drive the other day in a very base 2009 HHR LS with the 2.2L automatic transmission (that was the only option). Check out my full report in the HHR Test Drive thread. The power window switches are now on the door armrest (and they are illuminated). The "ambient" spot light overhead is no longer there. A nice touch: there is now a "leather" boot around the automatic transmission shifter. Looks VERY nice. The center console has a new design with cup holders and a small storage bin ahead of the shifter (great for cell phones or your iPod). I really wish Chevy would have added some padding to the door armrest however. Those were the only changes I noticed on the interior but there may be other changes that I didn't catch.

...about the HHR SS Panel. I sat in a standard HHR, hated the seats. They're uncomfortable, and I'll be behind the wheel for 45,000 miles a year.
Does anyone know if the "performance" seat is more accomodating?
I'll be giving up my Honda Element EX, its quirky styling, four-wheel drive, and endless utility.
But the HHR Panel SS just looks like alot of fun. It would be the first hot rod this 54-year old teenager has owned in many years.
I'm told by dealers that HHR's are tough to get. They fly off the lots, yada yada...
I would be happy to order one (black, five-speed, sound system) and wait.
C'mon... would someone push me into this?
Thanks!
