Hi all,

I am taking the fall from my Beloved Cherokee with 198,000 miles on it to a Subie and all of your opinions are appreciated.

I found a nice 04 black forester XS premium package, 5 speed, sunroof, heated leather seats, one owner in excellent condition with 53,000 miles.

It is at a Subaru dealer. The price started just above $15,000. We are down to $13,700.

NADA says fair value is about $13,500, Kelly Blue Book says $15,300.

What does everyone think?...thanks

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Is the dealer including any sort of certified used extended warranty?

If it drives smoothly I say go for it. I think the price is more than fair.

We just sold a 2002 Legacy for about $1000 below KBB and it was private party, dealers get more. I think the discount is good.
