Help 1999.5 Jetta diesel surging

I bought a Canadian 1999.5 Jetta TDI sedan. When I was driving it home (about 250 miles) it started off feeling like there wasn't as much power as it should have had. Towards home around 2000rpms (manual) it started to surge and buck slightly. I changed the air and fuel filter and there is no change to the feel of the car, if anything each time I get in to drive it gets worse. I have had this car 1 day and I spent the last 3 hrs looking for old threads everywhere. Anyone else have the same problem that they fixed. I also notice some smoke when I am in nuetral and I rev the engine, but I'm not sure if that's connected. Am I screwed? Replies to this message: freeantelope (Jun 23, 2008 5:41 pm)

Replying to: freeantelope (Jun 23, 2008 2:49 pm) OK and then tonight I went to my mechanics house and he ran the computer. I have code P1550 idle speed control auxilary inputs and P0303 Cylinder 3 misfire....could that be a faulty injector 3 causing all my problems?
