Car has about 45,000 miles on it now, no problems at all to date... well, until yesterday. When it gets to about 50-55 mph, AND the A/C is on, there is a "tocking" noise in the engine. Not a "ticking" but really, it sounds like "tock tock tock". It quits when I slow down, it quits when I turn the A/C off. Next question. Ever since I bought the car, if I make a sharp turn, in either direction, the sound it makes it indescribable - a loud, gawdawful noise, like everything under the car is falling off. I asked a mechanic about it, and he said it was the doomafritchie having to "work too hard" - a pump, or some #$^ thing. A pump?! Really? The noise is absolutely nerve wrecking. Does anyone have the same issue?

Replying to: tismyself (Jun 19, 2008 8:23 pm) (2) The "doomafritchie" is perhaps the Power Steering pump. Check the fluid level. Your biggest worrry is when the Flackinstacker separates from the Gitzinsnorkel
