You might be the only one posting here, but I'm assembling some more facts and will post additional info soon.

Cool, Thanks Mike.
I felt kinda dumb posting about a car that I was excited about, then it seemed like nobody else cared.
Then again the boards have been pretty slow lately.
Oh and sorry for using your usual post title. I didn't realize until after that it looked almost identical to the ones you usually post. I tried to change it a bit, but it only changed on the actual thread, and not the main page.

I am not surprised if Lexus comes out with IS coupe. They are competing against 3 series after all. I still think IS is overpriced compared to 3 series or g35, but that is just my opinion.

IS is overpriced compared to 3er? What? I'll give you the G35 but have you priced the 3er and IS with similar equipments? The 3er is almost $5k more than the IS.

I was comparing about overall performance/comfort/service fee. Last time I was quoted (a year ago), the price difference was about $3.5K on similar equipment but $75 oil change, $800 first service, etc.. at Lexus dealer made IS more expensive if you own it for 5 years. (Since BMW 3er is free for first 5 yrs service)
Yes I know I have option to go to $20 oil change service which basicly give almost identical service.. but no thanks i am not driving my lexus to a jiffy lube.
After getting quote around, i realized I am poor (hence playing this game to become richer) and got myself a Acura TL, 4k under MSRP. Thanks to edmunds.com discussion board!!!

Using Edmunds' true market value:
BMW 335i (ZPP/ZSP/auto/comfort access/metallic paint): $46,141 (MSRP: $48,050)
Lexus IS350 (Luxury/Sport): $41,328 (MSRP: $45,200)
Difference before taking maintenance into consideration: $4,813
By the way, BMW offers 4-yr/50k-mile free maintenance, not 5 years. So within the 50k-miles the IS will cost you (based on my own experience, I have an IS350):
5k oil change: free
10k oil change: $60
15k tune up: $400
20k oil change: $60
25k oil change: $60
30k tune up: $400
35k oil change: $60 (projected)
40k oil change: $60 (projected)
45k tune up: $400 (projected)
50k oil change: $60 (projected)
Total: $1,560
Difference after taking maintenance into consideration: $3,253

Ok, I admit the Edmunds' true market value has come down significantly for Lexus past one year. It used to have only 3.5K difference last year. My bad regarding the outdated information.
Just one thing. Where do you get your 15K 30K and 45K service? My friend have IS300 and it always cost more than $850 (after tax) at Indianapolis.

Lexus IS 350 Coupe: we just found out that this is still TBD. We are going to pull this and not IPO it on 7/8 after all. More details soon on a replacement vehicle for the week after next.
Thanks,
Mike
