AW 70 transmission problem

Hi After changing to a used transmission and properly adjusting the kickdown cable on a 1989 740 gle aw 70 the trans will not upshift properly. even when put manually into first gear and then manually shifted into second gear, the transmission still stays in first until i almost red line then it upshifts .background The tranny that was in its rear mount went out and took out the rear tranny bushing.After putting on a used tail sharft the tranny wouldn't shif properly so we got a used one from the wrecker.There was minimal shaving on the new used tranny magnet and we were sure to clean out the cooling radiator for the tranny and all feeder lines.What would cause the tranny to not shift properly are we missing something
