Comparison Test: 2009 Audi A4 vs. 2008 Mercedes-Benz C350 - Cars of the three-pointed star built many moons ago are known for their hewn-from-steel character. It's been said that those days are gone, and that the modern Benz isn't built like it used to be. (more)

The good news is ... there are many great choices with each vehicle possessing unique characteristics to be best matched to potential owners. Classic example: TSX versus loaded Accord V-6; it depends on what you are looking for and since more people buy Accords one could argue that the Accord is a better choice. My wife and I purchased a completely loaded 2006 Passat with a 280 hp 3.6 AWD, knowing that we would sacrifice a certain level of driving dynamics for an amazing car that has the space of the A-6, E-class, 5-series at the cost of the c-class, A-4, etc. While the 3-series is an admirable vehicle, it does not meet our needs. I personally enjoy the solid, although less athletic feel, of the new c-class. I am thankful for Infinity for creating an amazing car in the G-35 for it offers great power and space and made the segment more competitive but my wife and I were not drawn to the interior fit and finish but I can understand why someone would choice this vehicle for its many positive attributes. For our needs the Cadillac CTS AWD is a strong choice for it has great space and a great interior. I would also place the C-class on my short list for it's vault-like feel but we are most anxiously waiting for the 2009 A-4, ironically with the new 2.0T engine. With gas prices being what they are and not knowing what they might rise to be, this engine promises excellent efficiency with a better power delivery. I did not care for the current 2.0T, it was rough at idle (at least the one we test drove). In conclusion there are few bad decisions and a case that can be made for most vehicles. |

FWIW, those cars are configured to what I might euphimistically call the "two-thirds tart level", meaning that many but not all options have been selected for the "builds". With the above in mind, I find it very difficult to believe that you're finding "fully equipped" C350s for only $43,000. Best regards, Shipo

But my point here is that I have compared the BMW 328i not the 335i to the C350 and the C350 came out at the same price but was better equipped. For the 335i it's simply 7000 to 9000 more expensive. In fact mecedes in Canada has priced their model C300 so well that the comparable A4 2.0T and BMW 328i are simply more expensive by a margin of more than 5 gran. Now if you factor the huge price difference then the Merc should simply come on top. |

| I just have to say, tossing in some wood in an otherwise black and gray and silver interior does not make the environement warmer. When it comes to writing, it seems it would be better to acknowledge that both cars offer a dark and linear environment. To say the Audi is warmer? Maybe it was all the red lighting? Other than that, I just don't see it. | |
| What are you talking about? Why would you hear this over and over again? Who is Nelly? The beginning of this article makes no sense to someone who apparently isn't hip to some new singer. Perhaps us nerds would like to read an article about cars without being made to feel like an idiot in the process. | |
