I'm at the go/no go point with a 2001 Jimmy 4x4 SLE two tone, very nice SUV. Body has minimal scratches, interior is great. One owner. Garage kept. Non-smoker/no pets. Woman's car. 85,000 miles. Tires practically new. Had some kind of transmission work done under warranty. Price: $6200.

I'm having my local GMC dealer give it the going over tomorrow. Only thing I noticed driving it was a kind of rumbling sound. Drove one at the GMC lot while there and it did the same thing.

I've read about nightmare expenses with this model: wheel bearings, ball joints, fuel sensors, transmissions, heater cores, etc. All expensive stuff that I wouldn't expect.

Please advise. I like the car, but don't need to have it overhauled or invest thousands in constant repairs. Thanks.
