I went to three different VW dealers on the last day of the month and promised I was ready to walk out the door with a car that day.

I too am looking too for a Tig SE in the Chicago market but have not been impressed with the dealer I have been working with. What dealer or dealers should I go with? Is the AWD worth it? The FWD seemed to have a lot of understeer and didn't even seem close to a GTI as far as handling almost sloppy.

I am looking to buy an SE in Mass in the next couple of weeks. Can I ask where you bought yours? It sounds like you got a good deal. What were their sales people like? Pushy or helpful?
Thanks

I bought my Tiguan SEL at Fathers and Sons in W.Springfield MA. Ryan, my sales guy, was fantastic and worked with me to get exactly what I wanted! I highly recommend him - it is the 2nd VW I have purchased there. Good luck!

Hey there, Missy!
You stole my screen name and my SUV! LOL I have been trying to purchase an SEL AWD with panaromic roof and NAV since May 2008! Can't find and can't order one in Florida. I just came back from a trip to New England and didn't find one there either!

Contacted dealers in Indiana and am waiting for their initial calls. Looking for a final purchase price range between 23K to 24K. Is it too much?

I live in NY and I was quoted at the local dealers couple of hundres under MSRP...OUTRAGEOUS!!!!....I want to buy a Tiguan SE and I used autobrag.com, I offered 23000 for a new SE no roof/nav/4 motion just standard and I was suprised when a dealer from MA accepted my offer..I will let you know how the deal went through...If you check online for used Tiguans you can get the SE for around 21K , so it has a really low resale value...I don't even know if it's worth paying 23K for it...good luck

Just got a base S-model with 17-inch wheel upgrade at $22,000 for the car only and $24,100+ out the door. This seemed a bit much compared to the other guy who got it a while back for $21,500+ for the car only.
Got it in East Rochester, NY.
MSRP is $24,700
Invoice is $22,800+
