I just bought a new 07 Santa Fe. About 25% of the time when i get in and close my door, I have to repeat about two or three times before it closes properly. Anyone else had or having this problem?

As a matter of fact I noticed it a couple days after we bought it. I think it may be due to the vacuum in the doors not releasing enough pressure. If you notice the rear doors close fine. I brought it during the last oil change. The service advisor at the dealership said he would look into it and get back to me.

If I don't hear anything back, I'm calling Hyundai's customer service center. They're usually quite helpful.

I had that problem with the passenger side front door. The dealer adjusted the door striker (on the car door frame, not in the door itself). It has been fine since they did that.

The doors should close easily . Remind your lazy service dept. that they designed the door locks to close ..."as good as a Lexus". They should close with the minimum of pressure for all doors, including the tailgate. It's a simple adjustment on the door lock hook on the frame of the car.

All except one on my LTD. close with a mere push. The drivers side rear sometimes is a little lazy to grab but that's about it. Every time someone gets in my S.Fe I have to remind them "don't slam the door!" It was one of the features that made the S.Fe feel like a "luxury", well built car, and was actually a buying point for me.

I just ordered the 3rd weather stripping for the drivers door. The dealer says I am rubbing against when I get out. It's not me, it's the door allignment. It rubs on it when the door is opened, or closed. As long as the dealer keeps replaceing them I'll let them.

The weatherstripping on my 07 Santa Fe is falling apart. The dealer said it is wear and tear and will not replace it. How did you get the dealer to replace it?

Go over the head of the dealership directly to Hyundai Motors.
