This feature is not available in the North American market.
(There are many features in the owner's manual like this, unfortunately.)

totally wrong post number 2. They do in fact tilt down on both sides for me when I put my 2008 limited model in reverse. I only know about the limted model here so keep that in mind. Toggle the switch for the power mirror to the drivers side and leave it there. Put your car in reverse, did the mirrors move? If they didn't toggle it over to the passenger side and put it in reverse. Did they move? If no on both you don't have the feature. Drivers or passengers side toggle dips only the passenger mirror down in reverse and the other side toggle does both. Leave the toggle switch in the middle and the mirrors stay put.

It depends on what model year you have. None of the 2007MY Veracruz have the tilt-in-reverse feature. Some 2008MY Veracruz have the feature, but others don't (it was added part way through the model year).

I stand corrected. I have a 2008 Limited, but my rear view mirrors don't have the ability to adjust automatically for reverse . My VC was built late in August 2007, and apparantly this functionality was added later in the model year. (bummer)

Double bummer, I wonder if there is a way to add the module. Road trip to dealer parts guy anyone?
