First Drive: 2009 Lincoln MKS - First Impressions: The world's most completely equipped Taurus/Taurus X/Sable/Volvo/Flex, which turns out to be not such a bad thing. (more)
Full Test: 2009 Lincoln MKS AWD - Bottom Line: A luxury sedan for the Ford faithful, but all others would be advised to look elsewhere as there are far better luxury sedans for the price. (more)

Just like free agents in the NFL - if you want the talent you have to pay for it, or settle for less talented employees. So unless the other teams (companies) stop paying top dollar for big talent Ford has no choice. Or would you prefer they go back to the 2 previous CEOs? If the company was still being run like it was pre-AM, it wouldn't matter how much you threw at the Taurus or MKS because they'd be losing billions continously with no end in sight.

That would result in better cars, which would result in a more secure future for the workers. Perhaps a future pay increase if economies of scale kicks back in. I'm not saying AM can't turn things around, I am saying that 20 Mil a year when the firm is leveraging everything and bleeding share is like Brutus taking out that knife to stab Caesar. Now this board isn't about Fords lack of business sense, its about cars. This Lincoln holds allot of promise. They need to revisit its components a bit. It is a very attractive car, I'll give it that.
