The bottom line is, Hyundai simply does not offer BOTH choices; you must decide between the two. I think it boils down to limitations on the amount of space in the dash; the navi unit doesn't leave room for the changer. There are also limitations with respect to extra inputs; the only option for external audio is via the "auxiliary audio jack", which is really an FM modulator. This means anything you plug into it gets heard by tuning your radio to a given frequency. This is NOT a high fidelity option, buyer beware.
The option your dealer is proposing is an aftermarket solution, and they are suggesting connection via the FM radio. This will be a compromise in functionality compared to the factory unit. I think you need to decide what is most important to you, the quality of the navigation integration, or the quality of the DVD integration. IMHO, the DVD functionality would win, because it has more demands from an audio perspective than does navigation.

Thank you for your reply. My Dad called HYUNDAI, they said I need to call the dealer to make sure that whoever install the DVD should wire it so you can listen to it if you want and not interfere with your other system.
Also If I do have to choose between the two I am going for the Navigation. I do travel alot and have no kids. Plus you can play DVD movies with this Navigation setup they have going but only when you are in park, correct me if I am wrong.
Though I did like the rear entertainment because not only will you keep your friends occupied they gave you additional inputs (red white and yello) you can put in an Xbox to play video games good for if friends would ride along.

get the rear DVD. buy an aftermarket nav unit like the Garmin Nuvi. You can always upgrade/update the nav unit as they get better year to year but there would never really be a need to upgrade the rear DVD. Unless of course you just can't stand "standard def" TV anymore.... haha. Don't waste your money on integrated nav unless it's literally top of the line and upgradeable as things change with real time traffic reporting and such. My two cents. We were in the same spot and I struggled for at least a month over it. I am totally happy with my decision. Besides the Garmin unit is like 500 dollars and does more then then the stock unit that costs three times as much.

I am getting both. The DVD entertainment will be aftermarket like the other guy mentioned so it will not look like the Rear Entertainment system. Altough they said they are connecting the wires behind the Navigation unit. So I will have control up front . Also I will be able to have a Red White and Yellow Input so I can add a video game console if I wanted to. And the Aux Audio Jack he said is not going to be FM modulated or whatever you call it. No units will go via the FM radio.
Regarding the Nav unit. You can insert updates for the Nav unit correct when they are available?
