I am having a problem with the rear liftgate. First one of the struts for the back door went out so the other one wasnt strong enough to hold the door up. This is very dangerous with small kids. mean while we had the door open and kids would hold the door up for the kids to get their stuff out. This past weekend the motor stopped opening and closing the door and the open door light is now on in the dashboard. you can still open and close the door manually but I had to take out the interior lights so i could drive at night without the entire van lit up a night. any help with this would be great I have tried swapping the fuses around and they are all good probably a bad motor now. Thanks Rich

I had the same thing happen. I just now got 50,000 miles on mine, had the tranny rebuilt, which was another nightmare. The other day I went to open the rear hatch and the plastic door handle just came off in my hand. Its like every week there is another thing falling off this van. I owe so much on this piece of crap, Ill never get out from under it. Ford sure knows to screw people over.
